I have noted before that the whole “Leroy Brown” joke is not funny. It’s especially not funny when it’s spelt Lee-Roy Brown.
While an actual name, it’s amusing how quickly the Sydney Swans Grand Final win and subsequent amusing Irish jigs have impacted on naming trends with the arrival of the second Tadgh I’ve seen this week (for those who (a) aren’t Irish; and (b) don’t follow football, it’s pronounced “Tie”).
